MY FAMILY BOUGHT THIS PLACE A COUPLE YEARS AGO AND IT WAS REALLY RUN DOWN, AND IT STILL DOESN’T REALLY LOOK LIKE MUCH NOW EITHER… BUT IT BECAME A BIG PROJECT, MAINLY FOR MY DAD BUT THE WHOLE FAMILY GOT ROPED INTO IT. WE NEVER SAW MY DAD MUCH DURING WEEK BECAUSE OF WORK SO THIS BECAME KIND OF THE PLACE EVERY WEEKEND WHERE WE’D COME AND DO STUFF, WHETHER IT WAS JUST CLEANING UP OR PAINTING OR WHATEVER. EVERY WEEKEND THIS IS JUST WHERE WE ENDED UP.. SOMETIMES WE WERE HAPPY ABOUT IT, SOMETIMES NOT.
I MEAN I DIDN’T LIKE IT THAT MUCH WHEN I WAS LIKE 14 AND BEING DRAGGED HERE EVERY WEEKEND AND FORCED TO WEED WHACK OR MOVE ROCKS OUT OF THAT FIELD, IT KINDA SUCKED THEN BUT WHEN YOU CAN SEE SOMETHING FROM A DISTANCE I THINK YOU CAN START TO APPRECIATE IT FOR THE IMPACT THAT IT ACTUALLY HAD ON YOU.

Do you feel like if the cabin were gone one day you think it would be really hard to find this kind of environment and comfort and what this space means to you in another space again?

SO, I WOULDN’T SAY I’D NEVER FIND IT AGAIN, BUT I GUESS IN A WAY I WOULDN’T BECAUSE I'M NEVER GOING TO RELIVE THAT PERIOD OF MY LIFE WHEN I WAS HERE.I FEEL LIKE SO MUCH OF WHAT I HAVE HERE IS THAT LEARNING CURVE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE IN HIGH SCHOOL WHERE YOU’RE SNEAKING AROUND AND ARE NOT ON YOUR PARENTS SIDE AND THEN COMING AROUND AND REALIZING YOU DON'T NEED TO BE DOING THAT. SO I WOULD SAY NO, I WOULDN’T... AND THAT’S OKAY,I'M NOT UPSET ABOUT THAT. I KNOW MY PARENTS ARE GOING TO SELL IT EVENTUALLY AND IT’S OKAY.
