WHEN I FIRST GOT MY LICENSE I WOULD ALWAYS DRIVE AROUND THESE BACK ROADS. NO DESTINATION, JUST FEELING ESPECIALLY INDEPENDENT FOR THE FIRST TIME. YEARS LATER, EVERY TIME I VISIT HOME, I DO THE SAME. I’VE ALWAYS SPECIFICALLY ADMIRED THE FIELDS AND ALL THE EMPTY SPACE AROUND HERE. I THINK ABOUT THE TOWN I GREW UP IN A LOT NOW THAT I’VE MOVED AWAY, AND WHENEVER I COME BACK, I FIND MYSELF APPRECIATING THINGS I NEVER USED TO GIVE A SECOND THOUGHT TO.
COMING BACK TO YOUR HOMETOWN AFTER SOME TIME AND SEEING THINGS CHANGE: SHOPS CLOSED, HOMES BEING BUILT, WOODS BEING CLEARED…  LEAVING AND NOT KNOWING WHEN YOU’LL BE BACK NEXT–– IT MAKES YOU APPRECIATE MOMENTS AND MEMORIES JUST A BIT MORE WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMS SO FLEETING.
